The average rich person.

By jeglasgow - Posted on 31 January 2011

The average rich person is just like you and me. They work hard and make more good decisions then bad. They tend to buy things that last and take care of them. They live in modest homes and drive modest cars. Rich people put money to work for them so that they have income other then just pay checks. They pay attention and take advantage of whatever opportunities that they can, such as, Roth IRA's, Regular IRA's, CD's, Rentals, 401K's, and other investments. They are homeowners.

The average rich person took eighteen years to get there. They tend to be married and educated, most never stop learning. They tend to be conservative and risk adverse. They got rich by having more then one income source, and accumulating assets over time.

When asked what advice they would give, the replies where; Prepare yourself to have value in the work place. Work hard and assume responsibility. Make decisions using common sense. Buy things of lasting value. Invest your money to make more. Take advantage of opportunities even if it hurts a little. Have a plan no matter how vague and stay with it. The sooner you get started the better, because investments increase in value over time. Time will pass no matter what you do, so do something.

God gave you 24 hours, what are you doing with them?
