My "New Years" resolutions
My "New Years" resolutions this year are the same as last year's, as I could not think of any that where better. It was a more pleasant and less stressful year because of trying to reach these goals.
To See: I resolve this coming year to take the time to look, to see what is around me. To remember to not let the world pass by, without me noticing. I shall cherish the gift of sight.
To Care: I resolve this coming year to care more about others then about myself.
I shall take the time to inquire as to how they are doing and what is important in their lives. To care about others is a luxury, I wish to be luxurious.
To Touch: I resolve this coming year to reach out and touch others, to hold a hand, to touch a heart. To let all who pass my way know they are important. The sense of touch is a blessing; I hope to wear my finger tips to the bone.
To Hear: I resolve this coming year to listen to the world around me and those who are in it. I resolve to stop, to take a moment and listen to the sounds and voices of the day, so that the busy pace of life does not steal it silently away. I resolve with undivided attention, to enjoy the gift of hearing.
To Laugh: I resolve this coming year to laugh more, and help others do the same. The sound of laughter is music to the ears, I long for a symphony.
To Speak: I resolve this coming year to speak out, to say hello, how are you? Good morning! to say thank you! I resolve to speak to everyone I encounter, even if just an acknowledgment with a smile, and not be just another stranger passing their way.
To Love: I resolve this coming year to love everyone. In the 60's we declared our love of the world, and of all who where in it. We displayed that love openly and boldly with flowers and peace symbols. Love makes you tolerant, forgiving, respectful, and generous towards others. That is the reason we say love is blind, thus love shall be my symbolic blindness.
To be Joyful: I resolve to make every day a joyful day. I resolve this coming year to live life, and embrace the world, and everyone in it.
Happy New Year!
